Vendor review and response policy

Vendor reviews on CUNinjas come from credit-union members sharing real experience with the vendors that serve them. This page explains the standards reviewers agree to, how reviewer identity is handled, the rules a vendor follows when responding, and how anyone can flag a problem.

Who can review, and the standard they agree to

Only members whose account is linked to a credit union can post a vendor review. Vendors and their representatives cannot post reviews. A claimed vendor can respond to reviews (see below).

When a member posts a review, they certify that:

I certify that this review reflects my own genuine, firsthand experience with this vendor; that it is truthful and in good faith; that I can support any statement of fact I make about this vendor if asked, including any allegation of fraud, a crime, or a regulatory violation; that it does not include confidential or personal information; that it concerns the vendor's products and services, and if I name any individual I describe them truthfully and can back up any factual claim about that person; and that it was not given in exchange for a positive rating, with any incentive I received disclosed in my text.

A review can be a star rating on its own, with or without written comments.

Reviewer identity and its limits

Every review's rating and text are public. A reviewer chooses who can see their name and credit union: all signed-in members, credit-union members only, or site admins only ("private"). The logged-out public never sees a reviewer's name, only a broad credit-union asset-size band.

We honor the visibility a reviewer chooses, but we do not promise absolute anonymity. We may disclose a reviewer's identity where the reviewer consents, to address a safety issue, to enforce these policies or our Terms, or when valid legal process requires it. Any such disclosure is approved by a named person at Futureville, LLC and logged, and we notify the reviewer first unless a legal process forbids it.

Vendor responses: factual and non-retaliatory

A vendor that claims its listing can post one public response to a review. A response must be factual and professional. A response must not:

A response that breaks these rules can be removed when reported. When a vendor responds to a review, we notify the reviewer so they can flag a response that reveals or targets them.

Reporting a review or a response

Any signed-in member can report a review or a vendor response using the report link next to it. A claimed vendor can dispute a review about them the same way. A reviewer can ask us to take down their own review. Reporting something does not hide it automatically. Our team reviews each report and decides whether to hold, remove, or redact the content, or to leave it in place.

If you are not a member and you believe a review names or makes a false factual statement about you or your organization, email legal@cuninjas.com and we will review it in good faith.
