Our mission
We give credit union people the tools to unleash our collective strength.
Our story
It started in 1999, at a whiteboard, with nothing but an expo marker and a passion for the work of credit unions. We had two credit union clients and a conviction that this movement deserved better tools — and a real community.
We launched as CUMarketingDept.com, deliberately scoped to marketing professionals. But it didn't stay that way for long. Lending officers, CFOs, and operations staff kept telling us the resource was too valuable to keep behind a marketing-only door — so we took off the reins and rebranded as EverythingCU.
Over the next twenty years the people changed even as the purpose held. Two founding partners built it together; one stayed with the site while the other went to work inside credit unions — and over the years those roles reversed. The EverythingCU name didn't survive that transition, but the community did. It was reborn as the site you're on today: CUNinjas.com.
Along the way, something we never planned for happened: the community became the business model. We set out to provide services, and discovered the most valuable thing we could offer was each other — credit union people, talking candidly, comparing notes, and sharing the data that makes everyone better at the job.
