What the Merger Finder does

Your own CU's merger profileSensei How many of the eight disclosed factors you share with credit unions that acquired or merged, 2019 to 2025. Past tense, factor by factor, with a dispute button if we read a number wrong.
A screener you drive, not an oracle you obeyDojo Pick the factors, set the weights and direction, or load the backtested historical pattern. Every filing credit union comes back ranked as a fact table. No platform label, just your recipe applied to public numbers.
The combined-preview calculatorSensei Pick a partner and see the merged balance sheet: ratios recomputed from the summed call reports, the combined asset band, and where the new entity would rank.
Bank acquisition targetsSensei Community banks ranked by a disclosed, rules-based fit for a credit-union buyer. A published weighting over public FDIC data, plainly labeled a screen, not a model.
Start free, no account needed. The public merger tracker lists every completed deal - who merged into whom, when, and their size. The methodology page shows the whole model: the factors, the coefficient directions, the backtest, and the honest limits.

What each tier opens

Free · the tracker, the methodology, and a live scored-count teaser.
Sensei · your CU's merger profile, bank targets, and combined previews with your CU.
Dojo · the full screener, any-pair previews, and the Excel export with your recipe baked in.

Every score is a propensity - a ranking against a historical pattern, past tense - never a prediction that a named credit union will merge. About 3.5% of credit unions merge in a given year. The tracker and screener show public NCUA facts only: who merged into whom, when, and at what size. We never publish a distress reason or a platform "succession" label for a named credit union. Not affiliated with the NCUA.
